Boat in the Sand

I’ve always been somewhat shy about wearing very petite skirts in Second Life, so when I tried on the demo for Blueberry’s sensational Britain denim skirts and saw that they come with optional (and color-change!) mesh panties, I was immediately charmed and instantly sold. The exceptional designers behind Blueberry really do think of everything!

My top is the beautifully textured Ruhi Layered Blouse by Zaara, available at the current round of Colabor88. There were so many wonderful items to discover at C88, but as I only just returned, I had to sneak in for the final push. If only there were more hours in the day, and more days in the week!

You never quite know what you’ll find when you’re delightedly tripping about the grid’s regions in more-or-less alphabetical order, but when I spied the name 4Play, I had a feeling I might encounter some sauciness! While the sim certainly advertises adult services, it was very quiet when I visited, so I spent a lovely hour or more just enjoying the beachscaping and scenery. Isn’t it pretty? ♡

Happy Friday, lovelies! I’m genuinely amazed we’re greeting another weekend so soon; feels like just moments ago I was buzzing about the grid picking up last week’s Fifty Linden Friday gems! Shaken, Not Stirred

Sometimes you create a look and immediately a character springs to mind to go with it. Today, I feel like an effortlessly chic, yet devastatingly dangerous Bond villainess. One second I’m seducing 007, and the next I’m coiled like a serpent, ready to strike. And yet, through every twist and turn of my devious plan, my hair stays perfectly plaited and my lipstick is always flawless!

My dress is the fabulously slinky It Girl by RAYNE Couture, and may be found at the Sneak Peek event through August 4th. It comes in two other colors, and I favored this gorgeous reddish-pink print that makes me feel like a freshly ripened strawberry. Yummy! My perfect braid is by Besom and is the Left to Jackson style found at the current round of N21. Its sister style, Jackson, is also available sans the wide-brimmed hat. Another N21 item that I’m featuring is the gorgeous red pout of Nova Bodyshop‘s Hayden Lipsticks. They’re available in both system tattoo layers and a wide range of appliers; all of the details may be found in the credits above!

I rarely carry a bag in Second Life, and when I do, I really appreciate a style that looks functional (like one could actually stash their possessions inside), and that has a pose modifier that allows it to work properly with Animation Overiders. I’m thrilled to say that LEGENDAIRE‘s Lilly Bag offers both! 6 lovely colors may be selected from the HUD, and it may presently be found at The Instruments event. My glam gold accessories are all from the Jungle set by Salt & Pepper, and are yours for the collecting at the current round of The Epiphany. It’s a wonderfully unique gacha-themed event that allows you to trade in extra copies of your commons toward special exclusives. It’s a bit tricky to wrap your mind around the concept, but here’s a Flickr post that offers a wonderfully clear explanation of how it all works. Sweaty summertime greetings, my loves! As I’m sitting here still A/C-less in the 100°F+ heat, all of my thoughts keep running to cold, creamy, delicious frozen treats. So when I spied Label Motion‘s Yummy Ice Cream in my inventory, I just couldn’t resist adding it to my look today. I visited the always-dazzling Just Another Tequila Sunrise for a beautiful afternoon stroll, and I thought the autumnal colors matched perfectly with my “bohemian country” inspired look.

I’ve one more treat to show you from the Wizarding Faire, which ends this coming Saturday, so you must fly if you’ve not yet enjoyed the magical wonders of it all! My necklace is by Cae and is a beautifully delicate representation of the Quidditch Snitch, with three different metal colors in the HUD. Equally as delicate and lovely is my septum ring by PUNCH, which is exclusive to the Oh My Gacha event through July 31st. And I’m a little bit obsessed with my shoes, the Noa Wedges by KC Couture. They’re just so stylish and perfect for a glam, summertime stroll! As always with Klari’s shoes, these come with lots of color options in the HUD, including different bases and the ability to colorize the straps and sole individually.

Feeling so much love for the Country Girl hair by Besom, which comes with a beautifully-textured hat with 3 different colors in the HUD. It’s a Shiny Shabby exclusive, available now through August 15th. I really enjoy the soft shininess of Besom’s hair textures, which play beautifully with windlights to create all sorts of lovely highlights. My outfit is by BLOKC and may be found at the Mesh Avenue event, with 3 unique and summery colors/patterns in the HUD. I really adored this red print; it reminded me of a favorite bandanna that I used to tie around my hair in the ’90s during my perma-flannel grunge phase. Those were the days!

Speaking of bandannas, if you haven’t visited the Hair Fair yet, you only have until Sunday to do so! And if you happen to be there on the 26th, be sure to observe the official Bandanna Day, the day “we remove our hair to show we care”. There are booths set up on every Hair Fair sim where you may purchase special, resident-created bandannas with 100% of the proceeds being donated to the Wigs for Kids organization.
